Lift off

Posted by Revelate Designs

Welcome to the new website! You might be thinking “what happened to Epic Designs”? Little trademark dispute . . . led to a name change. Epic Designs is no more. It was hard to swallow and a stressful couple of months, but we’ve embraced the change and used it as an opportunity to kick it up a notch and build a new website. So have a look around.

A few thanks are in order for helping make this happen:

Julie my sweetie for her incredible support
Couloir Graphics
– William Finley – It’s nice when the best web developer in Alaska is also your good friend and climbing partner.
Creative Space – Karen Larsen for her numerous brain storming sessions and graphic design help.
Jeff Conaway, Jeebs and Leo – For embracing the growing sweatshop in their back yard.
Friends, customers alike who contributed many of the photos here. And lastly, to everyone who’s been patiently waiting for bags while I’ve been working through this!

It’s Go Time!

Tangle Bags!

Posted by Revelate Designs

Making a versatile, somewhat universal rectangle shaped frame bag that can fit a variety of bikes has been kicked around in my mind for a long time.

To add a little extra oomph to the re-branding and web site launch, Tangle bags are now available. We have a small stock of the mountain size and will have a batch of the touring version finished pretty soon. After spending a decent chunk of time comparing geometry, we settled on two sizes. They generally fit the entire medium-large scale of bikes made with steel and titanium. Aluminum and Carbon bikes usually have slightly smaller internal frame spaces due to the larger tubing size and gussets used, we have not tried the bags on many of these but basically if it the frame looks pretty normal, then they should fit. A third size is in the works for smaller frames, but for now this is what we’ve got.

Make your back happier with less weight this summer.
